Totally forgot to buy the bread that I was going to eat with boyfriend for breakfast. Threw on my blue stole and rushed on down to the bakery in the chilly air. Got hungry on the way home, so went and took a bite. No one will find out about it, I’m sure, so why not. LOL
Had some time before my appointment with friends, so stopped by my usual favorite bookstore. There was a new work by a favorite writer today. Dithered on whether to buy it, but as I was heading out to meet friends and would have to carry it around, I passed on it. Will probably buy it tomorrow. Looking forward to it.
Bought a freshly baked croissant at the bakery this morning. Wanted to eat it quickly while it was still warm, so made a cafe latte and hurriedly stuffed myself. This bakery’s croissants are absolutely the best to me.
Am heading out today with boyfriend to take in my friend’s stage performance. We decided to get early lunch at a favorite cafe. A galette with an after-meal espresso is a regular of mine. It’s a favorite combination. Sometimes I think I want to try something else on the menu, but in the end I end up with this combo. LOL
Held my monthly home party at my place. It’s my custom to have wine from Saturday afternoon with three lady friends I’ve been close to since college days. From 21:00, it’s dance time. We play our favorite music, but I don’t have much memory beyond that. LOL
Wanted to relax at home for a day, so didn’t bother going out. I don’t dislike days off like this without any plans. Tomorrow’s my first travel in a long time, so I’m thinking of going to bed early. Haven’t packed yet, though.
Went and bought my favorite author’s new work today, the one that I saw at my usual bookstore yesterday. Really couldn’t wait to read it. Will probably read it all in one go, so I expect I’ll go to sleep in the morning. LOL
